You may recall I was lamenting about how my 12-year-old apparently blew off his science project until the last minute, and then "The Affect of Upper Camber on Airfoil Lift" got an A. Well, he took first in the school science fair and, last night, took second in the district in engineering. He also got a special award from the Air Force that is usually only given to high schoolers. (It included a PDA, even!) :)

The kicker is that, despite his second place, he was not invited to the state competition. However, his younger sister was for "The Affect of Different pH Levels on Salt Crystal Formation." :goofy:

Signed,
House full 'o scientists

Congrats to them and you, Ken! Good job!

btw, isn't "Effect" more correct in these titles?

Fantastic, Ken. You've obviously done a good job with those two.

Ha! Anyone know a good editor?

No, no, you had it right. "Affect" when used as a noun means "emotion" or "feelings" (it's really only used by psychologists). They were doing experiments about the emotions of camber and salt, right?:)

Chris

Great Ken, Tell the Kids i said Congrats on both their accomplishments.
