Chick who has held the lease on this location for almost 25 years was recently informed that his lease would not be renewed in the interest of attracting an "upscale" vendor to take his place. Any restauranteur will tell that surviving the last 3.5 years in the food service industry has been brutal. Learning your lease is ending so that the landlord can pursue an unknown operator after you've persevered through a global pandemic and continued to serve comfort food to the Sacramento community is unacceptable.

It's um, okay. Yeah.

I don't remember the occasion to actually eat there, but there are dozens of really good restaurants within a short drive, and a couple decent ones within walking distance. The really great Chinese seafood restaurant is now a sushi place, and there is a pretty good Korean place on the corner.
