Satellite launches out of Virginia, Livestream now

[TangoWhiskey]

From a coworker:

Live stream from a satellite launch tonight from VA. they are launching 29 satellites. I am going to be outside watching the launch. Don't think you can see it where you are. I do love hearing things like "Minotaur has completed testing of destruct system, all systems go for launch. T-22 minutes."

Because, you know, I am an astronomy and science nerd

I just saw it from my roof in Ann Arbor, MI! It was pretty cool. I got a picture of it too, but it's basically just one slightly reddish pixel.

I stepped outside to watch. I was geekily/nerdily exited watching this orange ball leave earth. From Virginia beach I had a great view. I had a blast watching this. I really wish I got to see a shuttle launch in person, I have tried.

Flew by a shuttle launch one year. One of the most spectacular sites ever.

Minotaur is relatively small. But I heard the last Antares launch was visible from DC despite heading out to the ocean for a 56 degree orbit. That one should be more fun. They plan about 6 or 8 more of those for ISS supply, so you guys should keep an eye on them.

My roommate was watching this because his high school built one of the satellites on the ship. Pretty cool!
