What kind of countermeasures does Santa's sleigh have? Surly he flies through a few hostile countries or occasionally fails to gain prior approval to transit some airspace.airspace.

For kids in those countries: "No soup (toys) for you!"

Terrain Flight- Flight close to the earth’s surface during which airspeed, height and or altitude are adapted to the contours or cover of the ground in order to avoid enemy detection and fire. Also called contour flight, low level flight, nap-of-the earth flight.

I’m SIC typed in Santa’s Sleigh and currently have over 200 hours in it. It’s equipped with HARMs and magic pixie dust, so it’s well protected from any form of hostility. Not to mention the reindeer will kick you in the family jewels if you come within 10ft of the sleigh, so I wouldn’t worry so much about Santa’s safety.

So in other words, there is no clear and present danger?

Santa invented chaff long before WWII.... he calls it, "tinsel."

The sleigh doesn't have an engine-driven electrical system (candles don't count), so no transponder or ADS-B out.

In any case, in a hostile environment, "Speed is life," and you don't get faster than Santa's sleigh on Christmas Eve.

The tinsel works great ... Santa needs to upgrade to something that isn't FIXED GEAR!;)

Why? You can't fly as fast as he can. Even with the "Blackbird" and no, not EVEN in a Cirrus (turbine or not)!

:D

Well of course I can't fly that fast ... but you CAN'T give up STYLE points!;)

Notice how Santa's rig avoids the "low wing-high wing" debate?:confused:;)
