Just an FYI because I know some people are interested in this sort of thing.
Samsung market share was reported as dropping for the 1st quarter. Their first drop in 4 years. New market share is reported as 31.2%, a drop from 32.4%
Apple also dropped as well with their iOS platform to 15.3% from 17.5%.
The industry consensus is that Apple remains strong in the high tier market segment while missing out on the entry level tiers. Over all smart phone growth is still being seen in Asia while it is slowing in North America.
Microsoft Windows based phones are still but a footnote in these reports. It is all about Android and iOS.
