I have an iPhone 4 and I am happy with it. But found the screen too small for some applications (maps). I saw today the Samsung Galaxy big screen (5.5") and was impress by the big display. It looks like I may be able to use it as a compact EFB. Any Comments

I have a DROID Nexus because the iPhone screen was too small. Makes a passable, basic EFB.

Tough to make a phone call on and you look really funny holding it up to your ear!
:goofy:

+1 The iPad does not fit in the pants pockets either. On the Samsung besides using it as a EFB I can use it as a camera, car GPS, Internet terminal and as a phone. Pretty handy multipurpose product. I put it on Santa Obama list for this Xmas.

I would suggest that a phone and an EFB should be two different devices. The Galaxy Note II would be the best one to try to do both with, but it's a gigantic, unwieldy phone and I think it'd still be way too small to be any good as an EFB.

Keep the iPhone, get an iPad (mini or "maxi", as you prefer). One ForeFlight subscription is good for both devices. In fact, I think they allow three devices on a subscription now!

The head golf pro at the practice facility bought one on Friday, primarily for his teaching software. When we played with it for a while over the weekend, nobody liked it. Even the droid fanboys thought it was too damn big for a phone.
