Safety Organizations? or Mentors?

I was curious if there any organizations that provided monthly safety seminars or that provided a means of connecting mentors with student pilots or pilots?

Have you spoken to your local FAA Safety Team reps? With the WINGS program and the associated seminars they hold, you should find what you're looking for.

AOPA use to do it. Not sure if they have a program (of course you'd have to be a member of AOPA and with PoA - that's hit or miss)

There have been some pretty valuable mentor-protege relationships developed right here, on an ad hoc basis...of course, you have the burden of not paying a membership fee...

I think the "connecting" part led to the discontinuance of some of the programs.
