Rusty Private Pilot In LSA with EFIS

After 25 years out of the sky, I am now training to be a Light Sport Pilot. The Tecnam Eaglet has a Dynon D100 EFIS. I am having a difficult time reading the dim display while flying with or without sunglasses. The EFIS is set at maximum brightness. I have ordered Serengeti gradient sunglasses in hope that will work. Otherwise, can anyone provide any additional ideas?

I also trained in Tecnams, one with a Dynon and one with a Garmin. I had the same problem and ultimately had my optician do a custom tint for me. I think the tint was only about 10 bucks. The tint is almost clear in the bottom third.

I also use stick-on reading lenses on the bottom of the sunglasses. Works fine.
