Rob Holland, "What I See", Rhode Island 2014

Friggin' awesome! It's always nuts to me to see the airspeed indicator read zero.

I can't imagine the stress on the body. And the tail over nose rolls just blow me away. I'm not even sure how that maneuver gets started.

Low airspeed, upline, sharp full forward stick, full power. Rudder and aileron as required to keep it on plane as much as possible as it goes end over end. A lot of what Rob does is pure control surface authority and engine power, both of which the MX-S has more of than any other plane. And Rob's plane has some control mods quite different from the way these airplanes left the factory, which is why it's called the "MX-S-RH". Also takes some creativity and skill of course. :) Rob could not come close to making a Pitts do some of this stuff. Rob's one of the few pilots who can hold my attention with a carbon monoplane act.

Rob's high-power high-alpha hovering figures are jaw-dropping, I so want to see him in person.
