George was quite the character. He lived across the river from Cushing, where I grew up. His submarine building organization was in Warren, about 10 miles from our farm.
A couple weeks ago George was outside, feeding his horse, when he fell. The U.S. Mail driver heard someone calling for help. She went to investigate and saw that 92 year old George had fallen, suffering a broken shoulder.
