Dead at 72, Richie Havens was a huge folk singer at Woodstock, and continued in the 70's.

R.I.P. sir. I'm not familiar with a lot of his music, but I've greatly enjoyed what I have heard. Havens' version of W*O*L*D for the Harry Chapin Congressional Gold Medal concert in 1987 sends shivers down my spine.
