Ric Flair was in an airplane accident?

In the 80's wrestling ruled when I was a kid. I didn't know Ric Flair was in an airplane accident in 1975. He talked about it during an ESPN interview today. The airplane was a Cessna 310 and they said it "Ran out of gas" Anybody have more information?

If you are referring to this statement;

The crash came about as a result of human error. The pilot, Vietnam veteran Joseph Michael Farkas, had trouble getting the plane off the ground in Charlotte because of the bulk of the wrestlers. He did not distribute the weight of the passengers in the plane properly and decided to dump fuel from the gas tank to lighten the load.

I assumed they meant while they were still on the ground.
