Rexburg Id, airshow crash.......

Odd for sure. I wonder if something somehow got stuck and jammed one of the controls. Looks like the aircraft was having a pitch issue to me.

It didn't die, but about 3 rolls before the end it was sounding weak, may have been from Doppler shift though....

I don't recall seeing such a high angle of attack, during the time the wings are upright and level in such a maneuver.

Guy walked away with a sore ankle... Told the local media the motor quit...

My guess is the plane was about 13 miles ahead of pilot..:rolleyes2:

News story......... From Boston ??????

Plane is now junk ......IMHO......

A lucky guy!!

He didn't even start to level the wings until below treetop height... how does an engine or prop problem cause that? A more pertinent question might be: Who troubleshoots an engine or prop problem while performing a series of rolls? :dunno: I guess his plan was to pull out fairly low, but probably not quite that low. "Blue, green... blue, green... blue, green, green, green, green- oh, sh-!"
I'm with you- looks like he just got way behind.

Am I crazy or was that airplane in a stall beginning at the top of the arc?
