I was recently prescribed a 6 day regimen of methylprednisolone for treatment of bronchitis.
Still have two days left of the treatment and starting to feel better, but not 100 percent yet. My question is how soon should I make myself available schedule wise after completing the steroid, assuming am feeling ready?
Maybe it is just me, but the FAA guidance doesn't seem clear. It looks like the medication is authorized as long as it is under 20mg dosage. Elsewhere there is general guidance about waiting "5 time the maximal hour dose interval" for medications that make you drowsy. This medication only has a warning about dizziness. I haven't felt dizzy myself, but generally don't like how I have felt while on the steroid.
