I would like to suggest a forum for aviation safety related stuff. Some sample things that would fit are:

NTSB reports (or recent mishaps) and discussion
Safety training announcements
Links to online resources
Other safety-related matters.

Some recent threads that I think would fit are:
The impossible turn (overlap with training)
Run-up every time?
The discussion of the Heathrow 777 incident
The AMEL SE ops thread.

There are several contributors who are FAA Safety Team Reps, and this would be an ideal way for us to do outreach and foster discussions.

MC, what say you?

Slight concern over naming of forum conflicting with a certain magazine, but will push this to the MC for discussion with a different title. :)

Actually, yeah - cheesehead is right, it is.

Perhaps a safety main category with a lessons learned subcat?

Sounds reasonable. One of the things about the Lessons Learned is that it allows for anonymous posting, which is, IMHO, important.

Call it "Safety Forums Calendar."

If folks do post in it, perhaps list the location including airport ID and of course times, dates, sponsor. If there is an associated link to FAASafety.gov or ASF.org, post that.

This is a great idea.

I like the idea of Safety as a general catchall, with the Lessons Learned (which to me is like the "Never Again" column) as a subforum where folks can post anonymously.
