repeated request to login?

Situation:
1. I logged in, got "Welcome, murphey" in to top right corner
2. Selected "New Posts"

3. While reading the post from Jill (AOPA) (User ID: 555Juliet)

about the survey/article she's writing (quitting flight training, etc) I selected the link to send her a private message.

4. On the private message screen

I enter the message. When I attempt to send the message by clicking on the "Submit Message" button, an error message appears informing me I'm not logged in, and am taking to another login page. Yet the message has been sent, or at least I think it has because a copy is in my SENT box.

PHP, huh? Hm...somewhere, a pointer's been hosed.

Did you check the "Remember Me" box when logging in?

If not, you're probably timing out while typing.

Odd. What browser are you using? Do you have any cookie settings changed from default or any other extensions related to cookies or privacy?

This time, a Mac running Firefox 3.5.5 Don't use the "remember me" because it doesn't work here (but does work on my XP system running same Firefox)

may be the cookies. I'll change settings.

If remember me does not work you have some sort of odd cookie setting configured.

I am on a Mac on Firefox 3.5.5 and have never had an issue.

I just made a session change that should help prevent you from getting logged out in such a short length of time. If the Remember Me feature does not work then you have some sort of cookie configuration issue.
