Removing the OSA SI

So long story short I tested positive for OSA. But I have a pretty mild case, 9 AHI. I'm currently about 30 pounds overweight and my doctor thinks that dropping the extra weight will get me a lower AHI.

Has anyone ever lost weight and had the Feds remove the SI?

Thanks

You can get it removed when you can pass a sleep study without CPAP, without a jaw device, and without apneas and your AHI Is<5. Then the agency will require serially, year by year for 3 years, letters from your doc saying that you have kept the weight off and continue to have no symptoms. After 3 such, you get a letter of eligibility and are back to the generally issuance pool :)
