Refresher Training

I have had my private ticket since 1986 but have not flown for about 15 years. Can someone make a recommendation to a website where I can get good refresher training before I head back out to the local FBO here in the Destin, FL area?

The air safety foundation at AOPA http://www.aopa.org/asf/

and FAA safety http://faasafety.gov/

would be my first 2 stops for on-line courses.

I was also 'out of the pattern' for an extended period. You are just going to LOVE getting involved again. The technology is fabulous, and the people haven't changed a bit (maybe a bit younger, but still a GREAT group to be around.) Welcome home

There are a number of on-line flight instructor refresher courses. Any of them would provide a great refresher on rules, regs, theory, and procedure. You can skip the instructing stuff (learning theory, etc) and they usually give a big discount to non-CFI's not requiring them to do the renewal paperwork.

I like Gleim's. http://www.gleim.com/aviation/firc3/ I've used that in those years I didn't sign off enough students to renew on activity.
