I'm thinking about which tickets to buy for Red Bull 2014 either Ft. Worth or Vegas. Looks like both have an option for reserved seating for $60 and red bull race club for $350. Anyone know what extra privileges will I get if I buy the race club tickets?

Thanks

I bet male and female hookers man the bars in the VIP tent. LOL!

Don't they have info on what they're selling on a website or a pamphlet or something? Heh.

This is the only thing that remotely tries to explain the type of tickets:

and it makes no sense at all.

I guess I'll give them a call this week.

I was at the last race three years ago, which was in New York harbor. What a blast!

Got lucky enough to congratulate the winner (Paul Bonhomme) and get his autograph. I video taped the whole race, including the top three pilots receiving their trophies and signing autographs.

I had no idea that would be their last race for awhile. Glad to see them making a return!

Picked up this little gem while I was there. Also bought a model of Bonhomme's plane and gave it to my co-worker (like a dummy) since he couldn't make it.

Enjoy the race! I'll have to tune in to TV this time;)

Oh by the way, I bought a premium ticket, not a VIP club pass.

Sounds awesome, so was that that standard $60 ticket?

Thanks
Red Bull's site directed me to oss.ticketmaster.com and that doesn't explain it.

It says that I get "Neon Garage access and Hangar Walk for both days," that $60 ticket also says that I get hanger access, any idea if it's the same thing?

I am guessing you are paying for VIP treatment (celebrity meet and greets), luxury seats and concierge service (food and beverage). It looks like you can get the hangar access for the $60 ticket.

I think I misworded my question. Is it exactly the same hanger eccess that you get with a $60 ticket and a VIP ticket or you do have more hanger access with the VIP ticket?

Sorry, I don't know, but, since they don't have all the types and stuff as Reno, I highly suspect the hangar access is the same. It sounds like they parade the pilots into the VIP area, though, which would give you increased access to the pilots.

Okay thanks. I'll try to call that number in the link you provided tomorrow. Will let you guys know what they say.

I don't recall the exact price but I know it was under $100. Probably no more than $80. The cheapest ticket only allowed access but you didn't get a seat in the grandstands.

We were at Liberty State Park so there was no hanger access. The planes were based at Linden airport. After the race, the top three pilots were flown over to the park via helicopter.

Got it

I was actually going to go to that one. Then I spend the next three years regretting it. Definitely not going to miss the next one.

When the races were in Detroit/Winsor, the view from VIP seating was actually worse than general ticket areas. They set up tables/umbrellas and offered waitress service, but the poor VIP's couldn't see crap.

Looks like Ft Worth VIP seating is for the indoor booths.

Group of 12 from WI lined up for Ft. Worth. We found it best to call the Speedway direct and they allowed us to request sitting next to each other if we gave them the names of our group members.

Like so many things, watching it on TV doesn't come close to experiencing it live! I definitely want to go to another one.

Hopefully they'll have the Redbull helicopter performing his aerobatic routine before the race. That was incredible!

The first race of the 2014 season is in Abu Dhabi. My daughter and son-in-law might go. That's where they live and he loves planes and fast cars (mostly fast cars).

That's good to know.
I really don't care for the food and nice VIP seats as long as I can see the actual race. I'll stand if I have to, visibility takes priority.

Here's one of several videos that I took.

This wasn't a VIP seat but I had a great view. The people on the ground standing bought the basic ticket, but I didn't want to stand or lean on a fence all day with a camcorder in my hand.

Peter Besenyei broke the 230mph speed limit and got a 2 second penalty. He entered the gate at 231 .

That's pretty good, I'd be satisfied with that seat.

Got room for 2 more from WI? I got the verbal ok from the wife to attend, but haven't bought tickets yet.

Sorry Josh! 340 is full, rest of the gang are flying... cough cough... The Tube! (around $225 round trip out of CWA)

Marriot claimed they were booked solid. We're all staying at the Hilton Garden Inn next to KAFW

We can always meet up down there! I just bought my tickets. I just booked the Marriott for 3 nights. Maybe since I used my rewards points I got a room:dunno:. Im not sure if we are going to road-trip it or not.

Josh,
What section/row/seats do you have?

I'm not too disapponted with the Hilton Garden, it's next to the airport that I "think" they'll use, and it has food/booze.

Section PU401, Row 40, seats 17-18. Looks like our hotels are within a few hudred yards of each other.

It's a ways off, but one of our crew is planning on driving, he'll be hauling some tailgateing equipment... grill, chairs, table, coolers ect for some pre-event-events. We'll stay in touch and we can connect down there.
