Records request response time?

I'm under the assumption a request for FAA medical records will be some length in time.

What's the response time from when you send in the request to records arriving in the mail?

no fair, I said measured in months.

It's really dependent on the subject. If it is embarrassing to the government, they may find all sorts of ways to delay. If it is complicated, as in "all records pertaining to ...", and some of those records are legitimately restricted, it can take a lot of time to redact.
On the other hand, if it is something damaging to someone the government doesn't like, you may have it delivered by courier the same day.

There are only a few individauls who are certified interally do do the redactions if the file has any psychiatry content. So it "depends". O/W ninety days is about right.

If you wnat the copy that will withstand litigation (the "blue Ribbon" evidentiary copy), it's longer.
