We were in Monroe about a month ago. Waterfront Grill is good and a short drive from the airport. They have a lunch menu that is not on their website http://waterfrontgrill.com/our-menu/. If you have time I have been told to check out the Chennault Museum on the field. It is closed on Mondays which is when we go most of the time. People at the FBO are friendly and they do have some free snacks, fuel is a little expensive.
