Been out of the game for a couple years now.. Took the IFR written in 2011, and ran out of money right before my II signed me off for the checkride. Have logged 3 hours in the last 3 years . Just took a practice test on my iPad and it's amazing what i retained. got a 70%. Wonder if i could do 3 hours with a CFII and get a new signoff for the written and take my checkride. I tend to not be super rusty when i get abck in the plane.

My father got signed back off to fly again last year after a 20 year break.
Only took about 3 hours with a CFI to get beck in the game.

Edit: I thought you meant to get back to flying period.

I still say you can do it.

Time's not short. Just wanted to finish up the rating.. I was so BUMMED when i was $1500 short of finishing. C'est la vie. Job loss, etc bills became more important.
