Cleared for Takeoff
Got a chance to try out the Stratux with my Ipad Mini, yesterday. Flew to C16, Frasca Field, near Champaign, IL, from KARR. Sooo good!
Flew in the Warrior. Chicago Approach was too busy to talk, so I called Chicago Center when I was a little further south. They seemed pretty busy. Gave me a code, but didn't Radar Contact me for 12 minutes.
We had BBQ at the Black Dog. Try the catfish in the combo plate!
Frasca Field was like a ghost town. Very sad! No airplanes on the tarmac but me. On departure, there was a Cessna that landed on 27 with the wind 180 at 13 gusting 18. I did not land on the grass either (I am not sure our insurance covers grass strips?).
