These "Flite Test" kids are so cool and creative.
I love watching them come up with weird crap and make it fly.

If you stick until the big build on this video, check all the little planes flying through the big plane until they eventually rip it apart in the sky.

Maybe these kids are going to be the next gen aerospace engineers.

Awesome. Not a FAST card among them and no one died.

I admire the work! They guys are helping to inspire a whole new generation of budding engineers.

aren't u supposed to stay at least 500 feet away from all children?

Looks like fun. I've been digging out my old RC radios to see if I can get them working and build some crazy shaped planes for fun. RC equipment has gotten so cheap and small these days its silly. I remember saving up a ton to buy a 4 channel Futaba radio when I was a kid.

Unga I'm not sure how long you been away from the Hobby but the last 10 years there has been many revolutionary changes. Spectrum Radio's is the biggest revolutionary change in my opinion.

I love these guys at flitetest. They put out some cool plans to build from

I just love that they aren't afraid to break stuff and if they do no sweat. Super glue and try again.

FTFY. We all know the real reason for building these "drones".

More likely our overprotective nobody gets dirty society dictates since their mommies wont let them take risks like getting in real airplanes they need to get the flying fix some safer way. :D

I love the fact that you can pick up a programmable electronic speed controller for $15 now. Crazy. Thinking of pickup up a DX6i radio.

That's one of the reasons I don't do foam or electric. You completely lose any little sense of realism. But I get that it's cleaner

Yeah but the foam electrics have come along way just in the last couple years. The Chinese have produced some pretty realistic stuff recently. They've exceeded their turbine counterparts and you don't have the exorbitant costs and regulations that the turbines incur.

The sound of an electric motor is nothing compared to a four cycle nitro.

No argument there. There sound modules I can install in my airplane to make it sound like a four stroke motor.

No electric motor can replicate the stains on your clothes that nitro can.
What module do you use for that??? :goofy:

Why not make the planes yourself? I've started a project, but need to pick up a radio before I continue. I made a hot wire foam cutter from an older PC power supply and some safety wire. Worked well for the wings. If anything, the wire is too hot, meaning I need to move quick around corners like the leading edges.
