Was stationed at Schweinfurt FRG when this happened and by chance didn't attend the air show despite having planned to go. It was not a good day.

There's actually still a scar in the ground where the head on one crashed. Ended air shows for a long time in GE. Only in recent years have they gotten back to hosting air shows.
