Hello Everyone.

Does anyone have a tabletop radio that they want to get rid of? I would really like to get a radio hooked up for the flight school I trained at. It would be nice to get one setup with an outdoor speaker to hear the CTAF on the observation deck.

I don't have much money to spend, but was hoping someone might have one laying around.

Thanks!
Kevin

I bought a Uniden scanner that covered the airband for $10 on ebay. You can regularly find them there. It stays stuck on 122.9 at my house.

Thanks Ron! I didn't even think of buying one of these old scanners on ebay. It should serve the purpose just fine.

And if you find one with an audio output or headphone jack...then go to salvation army or the thrift store and by an old school amp/radio tuner combo that has a phono or aux input selector that will work as your amplifier to an outdoor speaker and whala...cheapo PA system! 8 Track slot is a bonus!
