Hi there,

I'm new here, having done most of my flying in Europe and I'm trying to get to grips with some of the differences over here. I've got a quick question on a NOTAM...

CCC CALVERTON !ISP 06/006 CCC AIRSPACE PJE 2 NMR CCC130013 10000/BLW 1600-2359 DLY TIL 1009122359

Ok, most of it I'm happy with, but to save myself blasting through the middle of a parachute jump, I thought I'd confirm - does "CCC130013" mean that it's at 130 degrees and 13nm from the CCC VOR?

Many thanks,
David

Yes, I think that's what it means. If you want added insurance, you can pick up flight following - in this case New York Approach would be the facility - and they'll generall let you know if you are about to blunder in to something like that.

Many thanks guys, that's very useful.

Ok supplemental question - where's the best place to find which of the numerous NY frequencies is the right one to call for flight following?
