I went for my 3rd class medical exam, checked the appropriate box for mental illness and then discussed with my AME. My 'mental illness" was just general anxiety that was diagnosed after a really lousy work situation that was making me unpleasant to be around. I took meds for less that a year and then stopped taking them, since I felt fine without them. It was the job that was really causing the stress and anxiety. My AME issued my Medical but mentioned that the FAA may contact me for additional information. My question is, how likely is it that the FAA will request additional information? Also, should I consider his endorsement by granting me the medical certificate a fairly safe bet that I will be okay going forward? thanks in advance for any thoughts.
