Had a few days at the W resort burning my wife's Marriott points. Went into PV for a day, then took a day to Sayulita and San Francisco. Sayulita is a mess. Wouldn't go back
Drove back to Tepic Friday morning. Only an hour delay due to a trucker losing his brakes going down the mountain and running off the road. Mexico 200 might be the craziest road I've ever driven. The brakes squealed the whole way. Metal on metal
Got to Tepic and had a few words with Hertz then went to file my flight plan and get fuel. Comandante appeared hung over and grouchy. But everyone else was super nice. $4.50 for fuel.
They were burning off the sugar cane fields in the area so the wings were covered in ash and soot.
Headed out over the mountains and on the Nuevo Laredo to clear customs. In and out in an hour and topped off the fuel. Stop in San Antonio to clear customs in the USA. He actually made me open the baggage door. First for me there. Generally just glance st my passport and my customs sticker and I'm on the way
Home in another hour. Total 5 hours of flight time.
Next trip with the wife I think will be to Mazatlan. Fly direct to there and clear customs. A little over 4 hours
Back to Nuevo Laredo next week to get my Multi Entry for the year and then head to Monterrey for work.
