Hi Jason,

I look forward to flying Grand Junction CAF TBM Avenger to your event. Much more TBM information is posted on our
website, www.RockyMountainWingCAF.org – especially in the “Avenger Overview” page where historical facts belie the
common perception that the TBM was not very effective during WWII. This misconception is usually taken from the singular
Battle of Midway. In fact, the TBM Avenger is credited with sinking the largest two battleships ever built, over 40
submarines, and saved countless lives of Marines during the many island assaults. During 1944, it also achieved a 5-to-1
kill ration in air-to-air combat again much nimbler fighter aircraft. Unlike any other WWII aircraft, it continued in
combat patrol service through the mid-fifties. Take a ride in the “Totally Big Machine”.
