One occasionally sees a tongue in cheek reference to the title phenomenon while perusing Aviation Forums. Sort of an "inside Joke" type of thing. Apparently this is well enough known to merit an article about it in Wikipedia: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pucker_factor
Now it appears that some NASA scientific types constructed an apparatus to measure it. The following ad appeared recently in Craigslist: https://losangeles.craigslist.org/wst/avo/d/los-angeles-from-charles-bell-nasa/7391658277.html I wonder what conclusions the study revealed? We'll probably never know.
The device is for sale - but the price is outtasight!

When the pucker factor has been exceeded, it all Depends.
You mean it’s all up to the Depends at that point.

…hopefully they perform as advertised I mean.

Once upon a time there was discussion of a negative-g restraint system that consisted of a trailer hitch ball in a similar location. It also doubled as as a pilot alert cue by wiring it to 400v 3-phase.
