Can anyone recall how much protection (in feet) is provided from obstacles on an instrument approach within the terminal area, specifically let's say inside the IAF (between the IAF and the runway threshold)?
1,000(2,000 for mountainous) for en-route/terminal segments, 1,000 for initial segments, 500 for intermediate segments, 250-250 for final segments.
So to be clear, if you look at the RNAV (GPS) RWY 32 approach for KIZG, the tower located between the IAF SERPA and ANDRU is 567 feet below the authorized altitude of 3100, which is appropriate given the 500-foot minimum for intermediate segment?
