F-Sim Shuttle.

Boy this is tough and challenging but it's the best four bucks I've spent on an app:yes:

Yeah I bounced, I'm working on it;)

STS-20. On energy, approaching the HAC

Wish I could hook up my joystick and rudder pedals to my iPad.

Edit: this current update is much more challenging and harder to make a good landing. So forget about all of those perfect landing videos of the earlier versions:rolleyes:

Yeah X-Plane for Ipad has a pretty cool shuttle simulator itself. Its fun to watch yourself stream down in a fiery ball because you didn't re-enter correctly.

20 degree glideslope....300 knots....gear down at 250'...no go around...

Whats so hard about that???:D

I wonder what NASA did with the Shuttle Training Aircraft?

Yeah I've done that several times in X-plane 9:lol:

I just recently got X-plane 10, but haven't tried the Shuttle yet to see the upgrade.

It's pretty cool that he added support for Foreflight & WingX over wifi. Great feature!

Try it in Orbiter. I absolutely LOVED dropping an XR2 Ravenstar from orbit after undocking from the ISS and putting it right on the numbers at KSC. Man, I should install Orbiter on this PC...

Yeah I've heard of Orbiter but never tried it.

I guess after getting frustrated with the bugs in SSM2007, I just gave up on them all. Maybe I'll try the new version if it ever gets released:rolleyes2:

I read that Orbiter requires a whole crap load of add-ons to make it worthwhile.

Did you try shooting them to the Intrepid. The museum / NASA folks didn't like my idea that they should just drop Enterprise over the Hudson and land it directly on the Intrepid (though in hindsight it might have caused less damage than what they did). I also suggested that it might be easier to move the ship over to near Kennedy than barging the shuttle.

Glad I got my close up pictures at JFK, before they dinged it.

Man oh man, does it. I had higher resolution terrain, a few MFD plugins, a couple craft plugins, a sound plugin... Thankfully, it's all free. The main application is rather bare, the plugins really make the sim.

Based on the videos, it looks cool.
I might check it out when I get more time on my hands.

For the time being, this FSim app is my quick fix. It's up and running by just turning on my iPad and clicking the icon;)

The developers did an outstanding job! Really impressive for a four dollar app.
