We have this tow and the belt keeps coming off of it.
Does it take any kind of special belt? Or any tips would appreciated.

If the belt doesn’t still have the numbers visible, I’d take it down to a local auto parts store (not O’Reilly, but a local one with staff who actually knows things). They should be able to match it.

Lol I believe you.
After many years of buying auto truck parts from the same building but under different names, The last one, car quest sold out to O'Reilly's. The building got reused for medical rehab/therapy.
Now I got to go a couple miles further to a O Reilly's instead of right around the corner. But the good thing is Dave is a long time friend and parts professional since we got out of hi school. He manages the store. He knows what I need.

If an auto parts store has the bar stools for the countermen and still has the metal rack with about two feet of catalogs in it, headers hanging on the wall, and a guy hanging out who probably isn’t buying anything, they’ll have it in stock or can get it by tomorrow.

I had this problem with mine and just recently went through the manual wile in the hangar and made adjustments. They have all the documentation on their website and specifically address this issue in the manual and their YouTube videos.
I did have to adjust things to get my pulleys in alignment. That seemed to help. I successfully pulled and pushed my Skyhawk out/into the hangar 4 times after adjustments. I’m hopeful I’ve fixed the issues.

Gary, make sure the setscrew holding the small pulley on the engine driveshaft, completley aligns the small pulley, with the plane in which the arger drive pully is located.....

I have that same model, working on it now. What’s the deal on that new engine? Easy to put on? Model number?

I may have mine starting easier, just need some fuel drops directly into the carb. At least at warmer temps.

I put a new belt on, I think it’s slightly to long. I may try the old belt again, then another cross-reference, and adjusting. Right now it’s to loose for the ‘drive clutch’ to work the engagement, if that makes sense.

Do you guys notice any balancing issues when using the tug? Such as having to constantly readjust the position when turning the airplane.

It depends on the radius of the turn. If the turn has a big radius, turning is no problem. If the turn is sharp, I have to pick it up with the wheel off the ground and lever it over a few inches.
