Why is always the A&P's fault?

ha, ha, ha....same reason the detectives always want to talk to the husband. History, statistics.

when my computer customers network doesn't work I ask "when is the last time it worked? What did you do immediately prior to that?" It is not always the case as parts sometimes fail but often it was the last interaction.

What do you believe it will cost to make and install a "P" lead set?

Why would you fix the only wire in the aircraft that can kill you?
