Looking for suggestions for portable DVD players. Looking for something that can be strapped (temporarily) to the headrest of a car or airplane. Need something that has two screens. I don't know that showing something different on each screen is too important right now, but I could see it becoming important in the future. Aux audio output for headphones/headset is required. Ability to view ripped (legally, of course ;)) movies that are on USB thumb drive or SD card is a big benefit, though not a hard requirement. Durability and ability to play DVDs in a normal interstate car ride or in light turbulence in the airplane without constant skipping is a requirement. Power or charging from cigarette lighter/aux power port is a requirement.

Always open to suggestions from folks with experience. Looking for suggestions on brands or models to look for as well as pointers on what brands or models to stay away from.

Thanks!

Alternatively, if you have a couple of tablets laying around pick up a Western Digital My Passport Wireless drive or something comparable. The drive creates its own network and using their app you can access any content on the drive.

I've tested around the house and it works well. Will be giving it a road test over the upcoming holidays.

Maybe that's why the majority of the listings I'm seeing on Amazon date back to 2010 or so - everyone is using tablets instead of DVD players now.

We have a couple of tablets laying around, maybe I'll go that route instead of investing in antiquated technology.
