I thought so too....until I saw the high monthly fees plus the $700 for the receiver. He'll the radio portion is a fee on top of the Wx cost.

I have the Garmin GDL 69A and it does the same thing for only $4,000 installed!!
I also have a 396 with XM weather and radio, I paid $700.00 for it used. I think I would rather have this set up vs the 496. The monthly fees are higher than I think they need to be, but they are the only player in the satellite music business.

. Don't get me wrong, I currently pay Sirius $50 a month for radio in 4 cars..so may still add this.

It's expensive, I know. But it's still currently better than ADS-B. I would seriously consider it over the stratus if ForeFlight ever decides to support it.
