Looks like some fun for the Midwest flyers, including engine shops tours. Who’s in?

Hmmmm, I was gonna maybe go with mom to EYE and eat at Rick's, but maybe this might work too.

Engine shop tours at Poplar Grove are available at any time. Just ask. That’s what I was told by their sales rep at a fly-in a couple of years ago.

Not every shop is like that. A different engine shop in the Midwest was surprised when I asked for a tour. And even more surprised when I showed up. Their shop was messy. Did not create the best impression.

Really nice turn out - 50 plus planes of all vintages. Food trucks were pretty tasty though lines were very long for some. Flour bombing was a hoot!
