I grew up calling it "soda" and when I moved to Colorado I made fun of the people who called it "pop". But now I've been assimilated...

I see you are from COS. Maybe it's a Denver thing.Being a CO native myself I've never used or heard it called "pop", always "soda"
Reminds me of this: http://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2013/12/20/sunday-review/dialect-quiz-map.html?_r=0
You answer a series of questions, and it places where you're from based on how you speak. I got Oakland, CA as one of mine, but I'm from the DC area, and the other two it suggested were Baltimore, MD and Arlington, VA. I'm pretty impressed.

Sorry Tim. Hard to cover al lthe options when you don't know them."Soda" now, but I grew up in an area that called it "soda pop"...an option that's not there...just like "coke" isn't there.

Don't forget cold drinkIn the south it's either a sof'drink or a Coke. But everybody knows that.
I'll be shocked if anyone else knows what a bunny-hug is. (No Google allowed)
+1. I grew up in SoCal, and "soft drink" was the operative term. The poll needs that option.Out West we call them soft drinks. I'm used to Soda Pop though.
