Could be worse. Is it just me or is this sign riddled with stupid?
Same diarrhea sign near the pool at a private non-chain inn on Key West when we were there.
(note it was number 7 on Jay's example sign too)
Must be a lot of poo squirters swimming in hotel pools or something.
Could be worse.

Notice the Wendy's sign in the background. Coincidence or omen?
Nauga,
who went in anyway
"Excuse me Mr. Lifeguard, I'd like to use the pool. Could you check this for me?"It might make sense if the sign was directed towards lifeguards and management staff. Although, I'm not sure how they would determine the condition.

on a cruise many years ago (and Mrs.6PC will likely be able to provide the photo) there was a sign that said something to the effect of:
No diapers (Children or adult) in hot tub
It was our 1st cruise on Norwegian. That sign told us everything we needed to know. In your 20's cruise on Carnival.

Staying at a Hilton Garden Inn and saw this sign by the pool. Is it just me or is this sign riddled with stupid?

Let's break this down. There are some issues:
1. Warning: No lifeguard on duty. That's a rule?
3. No glass or animals in the fenced pool area.
4. No food or beverages in pool or on pool wet deck.
Really? Are you sure? How do you know that?
5. Do not swallow the pool water. And you don't discourage people from putting it in their mouth in the first place?
6. No diving. No SCUBA? No mask and flippers? No underwater swimming at all?
7. Do not use the pool if you are ill with diarrhea. What if you aren't ill, but have diarrhea?
9. Bathing load _____ persons. Wait a minute. You just said to shower before entering the pool. Yet now you want people to take a bath in it?
CHILDREN UNDER 12 YRS. OLD MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY AN ADULT
You bet, we don't want any lifeguards showing up and thinking they're on duty.Let's break this down. There are some issues:

How about 8?
Why would you abbreviate "years" to "YRS."? You save two letters but add a period so you're only saving one character. The line wraps around to the next line anyway and there is plenty of space there.
And 10. Why not fill in the Emergency Assistance number? Someone filled in the times of the pool hours right below that and the max capacity above. Couldn't be bothered to write "911"? And why would you need to inform people of that number anyway?
