Polls and bumping

Any time someone votes in a poll, it bumps the poll to the "New Posts" status even though they didn't post anything. Can we make it not do that?
 
It is rather irritating. I like the idea.

If the software can track what threads and posts a member has read, why not the poll itself and thereby not show again until a new post has been made?
 
Chuck and I had a discussion about this some time ago. While I didn't make a request to change it, I came away with the impression that it is what it is.
 
I concur. It would be nice if it bumped with a new comment, but not with a vote.
 
I've been told by the Administrators that this is an option we can turn off or on with vBulletin. The MC will decide shortly whether to flip the switch to the other position. Keep posting your inputs so we know how you feel. Dare I make it a poll that updates every time someone votes? :eek:
 
It's annoying to me that it jumps to the last post in the thread (even when there hasn't been a new one added) and not to the poll itself. If it would just display the new polls stats instead of the same last post I've read a dozen times, I wouldn't have as big an issue with it.
 
Wow, that's an option? Why the heck would anyone WANT it on?

vBulletien makes some weird options. Obviously, my vote is to change it.
 
I'll jump on the 'change it' bandwagon. Annoying to go to the thread expecting new insight on the poll only to realize that someone voted and didn't leave feedback.

Flip the freakin switch, it's kinda annoying.
 
It is configurable. For your bumping pleasure and the ease of giving (and tallying) feedback, I've added a poll.

How ironic... :)

Oddly, when I went to this thread from the list, it went directly to the newest post for me. So, I believe it's already changed. Or, I need to go back on my meds.

Either way, who voted to keep it???? Fess up!!! :eek:


Edit: Okay, I stand corrected. It's bumping... twice in five minutes.

I see a change needed!
