Some of you may know, but some may not, so I thought I would take a minute to mention that we have a PoA'er serving in Iraq right now. Scott (aka drizzt76) is flying Medevac choppers over there.

I won't make a big deal about it, as I know he doesn't want any special attention, but he did mention that he had just made his first real "if we don't get there, the guy dies" mission recently, so he's not just sitting on the sidelines watching the battle on CNN. His internet access is spotty at best, so a flood of emails/PM's probably isn't recommended right now.

So when you're saying your prayers for other friends and family serving over there, if you can, make a spot for Scott's name so that he would make it back to his family safely.

By the way: PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do not make this into a "Iraq: Good or Bad" thread.

Well, next time you talk to him, send a "Good on ya, fly hot, fly safe, and keep bringin em back as well as yourself."

Veteran's Day being last week the Today show on NBC featured a Vietnam veteran helo pilot.

[Be sure to watch at least the first couple minutes of the video. Sorry about the commercials.]

Thank you, Scott, for your service.
