has anyone ever tried to organize such an event? would that be a popular idea with those of you in texas or nearby? pick a spot and everyone convene as they can for a bite to eat and say hello?

Also KCLL (very good restaurant on the field) and KSEP (very good BBQ within walking distance), at least for day trips. Both might be good for overnight as well - not sure.

sounds like then there is some interest. i'm not real wild about doing something with the temps as they are but maybe as it cools a bit we can find a weekend when some might want to it. I'll return to this thread in a few months and float the balloon.

doesn’t Llano have bbq?
Yes, but have to take courtesy car into town. They have a couple of Econoline vans, so if you synchronize arrivals it can be done.
