PoA Slow To Open

Just an FYI.. I've noticed recently that the PoA site often opens right up and other times it takes forever. It also seems to take a while sometimes to open certain areas and to post a message.

I'm not noticing the same delay in other sites and I've flushed my DNS to make sure it just wasn't something hanging on my end.

ADDED: I tried posting this message three times a few hours ago and it would not save. Just left it sitting here and now that I'm back, it posted. So there is definitely something up with the site.

Forums, especially those with years of history, are in the crosshairs of AI data-cataloguing bots. Particularly if the AI algorithm decides a site has a "deep learning" knowledge bank, it will put forth significant effort to access that information. Some sites are seeing thousands of simultaneous access attempts, and even if the info is behind a login or paywall, the web server needs to do something with each request, if only to just deny it. These access attempts are essentially loading up server traffic capacity, making it inaccessible to legitimate users. It's a big problem for a number of smaller forum sites.

PoA rides the short bus of forums, in both performance as well as thread responses. well, mine anyways.
