Plexi care, and caring for a fabric covered plane

First time plane owner. 1958 Tri-Pacer.
I know I need to store the plane out of the sun and preferably in an enclosed hanger.
What can I use to clean the window, and what should I avoid like the plague?
Washing the plane, can I just use standard car wash soaps?
How about waxing the plane, both metal and fabric? Products and techniques?

Brillianize for plexi. You only need a little on each application, so a big spray bottle will last 5 years. Never gets smeary or leaves a residue...wipes off fast!

Really depends upon which system you have.
It varies with some systems, but the big three say it is just paint.
Threat it like the paint on your car.
