Let's get the tail cone of the fuselage up and running. I'm sure it will last for the life of the airplane.

That's correct. We have managed to produce parts that are stronger, lighter, and more durable. However, certification for these parts is currently out of reach.

That's when the aircraft owner must make the part themselves (as allowed in the regs; a vestigial remnant that I've actually used) or caused the part to be made. I wouldn't make a vacuum pump drive, but I'd make a plastic decorative part. Or even a yoke bushing.

The problem with battery boxes has finally been solved.
The new boxes are designed to replace the old fragile thermoformed ABS battery boxes, which fall apart when the battery is removed.
