Gautam Lewis was chatting to Nihal today on the BBC Asian Network radio about his role in an immunization campaign in India. They show also focused on his recent achievements in aviation, qualifying as a pilot - with polio on his legs and the history of his life. From the mean streets of Kolkata, moving to london, managing Pete Doherty, to now assisting Rotary International, World Health Organization, UNICEF and the US Center for disease control to eradicate polio from the world.
The show has an audience of 1 million plus which is wonderful to reach so many people to tell them of the great achievements and challenges ahead for eradicating polio. The Sky’s the limit!!
