It's an awesome—and supremely nerdy—new feature that the computational search engine has cooked up: it will poll your geoIP location and tell you what planes are overhead. And that the mobile apps take advantage of the feature actually makes it somewhat usable IRL.

Ha we were just joking about that exact same thing a few weeks ago and now it appears. "wouldnt it be cool if GoSkyWatch had, in addition to the natural celestial objects, a layer for airliners, maybe for satellites."

It's not going to return a "flight number" or destination for me when I am chugging by...

I assume it just returns "1200" for us low life VFR types.

Works well except for that my current GeoIP location is Basalt, CO... and I'm a long way from Basalt...
