Just heard on the radio that all the people who called 911 to report a plane crash should not abuse the emergency response system.
The plane landed safely next to a toll booth on hwy 130 by the Elroy Rd exit (SE of Austin).
That is about 1 nm south of rwy 17L at Begstrom (KAUS).

Glad that I got to hear GOOD news for a change!
Will be watching the news tonight for sure to see whether it was a "low-wing Cessna" or possibly a "Cessna Comanche". :D And of course I will put my tin foil on and wait for the chemtrail specialists and their opinions on how dangerous aviation is.

Glad for a good report, for a change.looks like very minor damage to the aircraft, good job by the pilot.

Ah, slow monkeys at the Statesman already managed to show off their inability to comprehend basic English. Sweet. :)

AFAIR, if you lose power to an aircraft engine, in most cases it continues to produce power and keeps the airplane flying. :D
Also, how will they be cleaning up the fuel spill in the pasture? Will they scrape the top soil, haul it off and replace it with fresh soil? I didn't know that's what firefighters here in Austin do. :D
Gotta love reporters. Do not EVER let the facts stand in the way of an important news story. Hey, at least they didn't call it a "low-wing Cessna"!!

Glad the pilot sat her down safely, he is lucky to be alive ... because he's a lawyer ... while the Bonanza is a "doctor killer". :goofy:

Glad they're o.k.

Good piloting is never recognized.

From the video, "It was almost like landing at the airport."

SMH.

You, gentlemen, sound like you are mocking the self-proclaimed journalists because you were expecting insight, intellect and good penmanship.
Don't be sour, these people can't help it, it is just a job to them to pay the bills. The janitorial position was already taken so they took this one, with a nice window office. :)

My home base... Glad to know they are all well.
