Plane down in Texas?

About 4:30 this afternoon, flying into Houston from Dallas I heard some chatter with the Houston Center about a plane that had "lost the engine" and gone down West of the area.

Anyone here have any idea what happened?

There was one in Lockhart. They made it down safely, landed in a field.

Yeah, we heard that go down. I was in a Stinson near Burnet and heard the whole thing.
